The Maple Conservatory's Junior Intensive program is a two-week program for male & female dancers ages 9 to 11 years old who want to receive a high caliber of dance training from distinguished faculty.
Dancers must be ages 9 to 11 during the summer program. Also, no pointe experience is required for female dancers.
The focus of the junior intensive is for serious young dancers to build a solid foundation in ballet technique and to educate them in a variety of dance-related topics. The Maple Conservatory faculty provide unparalleled instruction, while remaining sensitive to the developmental needs of a younger dancer and allowing them to flourish in a professional, nurturing environment.
Our junior intensive faculty will feature Conservatory Director Charles Maple and Intensives Program Director Chris Martin, as well as the rest of our fantastic Maple Conservatory faculty.
Our curriculum will include:
Classes will be held Monday through Friday from 9:30am-2:30pm. Our small class sizes offer students an opportunity for personal attention and correction.
Parents are invited to watch classes during the last week of the program. Parents and family of students will be invited to attend an informal performance on the last day of the program.
Admission to the junior intensive is by audition only. We strongly urge students to audition in person at one of our two audition classes, which are Sunday, February 3 and Sunday, March 16 . View more information on how to audition
