Maple Ballet proudly presents Sleeping Beauty in one act featuring Aurora's Wedding. This abridged version of the quintessential classical ballet will delight audiences with its most memorable and treasured dances.

It's filled with familiar characters including the enchanting Princess Aurora, the Lilac Fairy, the wicked Carabosse, Puss 'n Boots, Little Red Riding Hood and the Wolf, Blue Bird and the handsome Prince Desire, which will be performed by guest artist Colby Parsons, American Ballet Theatre's virtuoso up-and-coming star from ABT II!

Complete with the fairy tale couple's wedding variations and romantic pas de deux, this childhood classic will be brought to life with our beautiful costumes, thrilling dance and the promise of happily ever after!

Running Time: About two hours with intermission. Refreshments & snacks will be on sale.

Special Guest Artist: Colby Parsons, ABT II

Colby Parsons, a member of American Ballet Theatre's acclaimed ABT II, returns to guest perform with the Maple Youth Ballet.  ABT II is a classical company of young dancers who show outstanding potential and are hand-picked from around the world by the ABT artistic staff.

Our Student Showcase Featuring Exciting New Works!

Our June program will also feature our annual Maple Conservatory Student Showcase, presenting the talents of our Conservatory students and featuring a new ballet by Charles Maple.

Our Showcase will also present the west coast premier of Real Quiet by award-winning, Chicago-based choreographer and artistic director Ron De Jesús. Mr. De Jesús was a leading dancer with Hubbard Street Dance Chicago and starred in the Broadway hit musical MOVIN' OUT. He is also a Ballet Master for Twyla Tharp Productions and sets Ms. Tharp's works for dance companies around the world.

Real Quiet will be performed by our guest artists Ron De Jesús Dance company members and former Juilliard Dance Ensemble members Chloe Crade and Joshua Wark!
